Pixel 11 Cases: What Fits, and What to Know First

Google unveiled the Pixel 11 at a Made by Google event on 12 August 2026 in New York (9to5Google, August 2026). Three of the four phones announced that day are ones you can put a Caselier case on.

If you're already planning the upgrade, the case questions arrive early. Will your Pixel 10 case carry over? Which models take which case? Can you order one before the phone lands? This post answers all of them, in that order.

One of those answers catches people out every year, so it's worth flagging up front. Since the Pixel 10, Google builds magnets into the phone itself, and the wrong case switches that off.

In Short

Caselier stocks cases for the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL, in Tough Case and Tough Case with MagSafe. All three models take a different case this year, so a Pro case won't fit the standard model. And because Pixel magnets sit in the phone, Google says non-magnetic cases give "weak or no attachment and unreliable charging". If you use magnetic chargers, take the MagSafe version.

When does the Pixel 11 arrive?

Four phones were announced on 12 August: the Pixel 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro XL and a Pro Fold. Pre-orders opened the same day (9to5Google, August 2026).

Wide availability lands on 20 August. That date circulated for weeks beforehand as a leak from the French deals site Dealabs rather than anything Google had said, and it turned out to be right.

Caselier covers the Pixel 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro XL. We don't yet (As of July 31st 2026) sell cases for the Pro Fold.

Will a Pixel 10 case fit the Pixel 11?

No, and this year there's a second trap underneath the obvious one. Cases are cut to a specific body size and camera bar, and those change between generations. But the Pixel 11 line also splits internally in a way the Pixel 10 line didn't.

In our own catalogue, the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro share one case. Order either and you get the same shell, because the two phones are close enough in size. That stops with the Pixel 11. The Pixel 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro XL each take a separate case, in both case types we offer.

So the shortcut most people use, grabbing the Pro case because it was in stock, doesn't work this generation. Check the model name on the box, not just the family. The three collections are kept apart for exactly this reason:

Still on the older phone? The Pixel 10 range is unchanged and stays available.

Does the Pixel 11 work with MagSafe?

Almost certainly yes, and this is the part worth reading twice. Since the Pixel 10, Google puts Qi2 magnets inside the phone under the Pixelsnap name. Google's own documentation confirms the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL and 10 Pro Fold all carry them (Google, Learn about Pixelsnap accessories). MagSafe accessories attach with no case at all.

Confirmed at launch: Pixelsnap is in all four Pixel 11 models, the Pro Fold included, so magnetic accessories attach with or without a case. All four also charge at the full Qi2 25W, and on the base Pixel 11 that's a jump from 15W (9to5Google, August 2026).

Here's where people go wrong. Built-in magnets sound like they make a magnetic case unnecessary. In practice the case sits between the magnets and the accessory, so it decides whether the feature survives. Google is blunt about it. Non-magnetic cases "result in weak or no attachment and unreliable charging", and it recommends either no case or a Qi2-compatible one (Google).

That's the whole decision, and it's simpler than it looks. If you never touch a magnetic charger, car mount or wallet, a standard Tough Case is fine. If you do, the Tough Case with MagSafe has its own magnet ring. Your phone's magnets and your accessories still line up through the case.

Worth noting how unusual this is on Android. Samsung took the other route. The Galaxy S26 line supports Qi2 charging speeds but ships without built-in magnets, reportedly to protect the S Pen (GSMArena, 2026). Pixel owners get the magnets for free. They just have to avoid cancelling them.

Which case types can you get for the Pixel 11?

Two: the Tough Case and the Tough Case with MagSafe. That's an honest limit rather than a soft sell. Our Snap Case and Wallet Case aren't produced for the Pixel 11 line yet. If you had your heart set on a slim snap-on or a flap wallet, this generation doesn't offer one yet.

Most phones are in a similar position, and a third have only one case type available at all. There's a full breakdown in which case types each phone can take.

Both available types print the design edge to edge across the back, so the choice is about magnets and nothing else.

Case type Protection Magnetic accessories Pick it if
Tough Case Dual layer: hard shell plus shock-absorbing inner lining Weakens attachment, per Google's guidance You charge with a cable and don't use mounts
Tough Case with MagSafe Identical dual-layer construction Built-in magnet ring keeps them aligned You use Pixelsnap, a car mount or a magnetic wallet

Protection is the same either way, which makes this an easier call than usual. The magnets are the only variable.

The design side is where the range opens up. Over 100 Caselier designs work on any of the three models, from The Gallery classical paintings to patterns and graphic prints. Most of them can be recoloured on the product page, so a design you almost like can usually be made into one you do.

Can you order a Pixel 11 case before the phone ships?

Yes. Every Caselier case is printed to order rather than pulled off a shelf. That means a case can go live as soon as the print files for a model exist, which happens before the phone reaches shops. The three Pixel 11 collections are live now, ahead of the phone.

One honest caveat about the pictures. Until the Pixel 11 print files exist, mockups on the site are generated on the closest Pixel 10 model and labelled that way. The design, colours and print are accurate. The phone underneath it in the preview isn't the exact handset yet. Your case is still cut for the model you selected.

One more thing if you're in Europe. Caselier prints and ships from inside the EU, so there are no customs fees or import charges on the way. That matters more since the EU import fee that landed in July 2026, which applies to parcels arriving from outside the bloc.

Want something no design catalogue can give you? The Custom Phone Case takes your own photo and prints it on the same shells, with a live preview before you pay. There's a full walkthrough in our guide to designing your own phone case.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Pixel 11 work with MagSafe accessories?

Yes. Google builds Qi2 magnets into Pixel phones under the Pixelsnap name, starting with the Pixel 10, and confirmed at launch that all four Pixel 11 models carry it. MagSafe accessories attach directly with no case. A case without its own magnet ring sits in the gap and weakens the connection.

Will my Pixel 10 case fit the Pixel 11?

No. Body dimensions and the camera bar change between generations, so a Pixel 10 case won't sit correctly on a Pixel 11. There's a second catch this year. The Pixel 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro XL each take a different case. The Pixel 10 and 10 Pro shared one.

Do you need a magnetic case if the Pixel already has magnets?

If you use magnetic accessories, yes. Google states that non-magnetic cases give "weak or no attachment and unreliable charging" and recommends no case or a Qi2-compatible one. The case sits between the phone's magnets and the accessory, so it decides whether the feature works.

Which case types does Caselier make for the Pixel 11?

Two: the Tough Case and the Tough Case with MagSafe. Both are dual-layer and print the design across the full back. The Snap Case and Wallet Case aren't produced for the Pixel 11 line yet, so those aren't available for these models.

Can you buy a Pixel 11 case before the phone is released?

Yes. Cases are printed to order, so the Pixel 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro XL collections are live ahead of the phone. Mockups are shown on the closest Pixel 10 model and labelled until Pixel 11 print files exist. Each case is made for the model you choose.

Before you order

Two decisions, and neither takes long:

  • Confirm the exact model. Pixel 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro XL take three different cases this year. The family name isn't enough.
  • Decide about magnets. If a magnetic charger, mount or wallet is part of your day, the MagSafe version keeps it working. If not, the standard Tough Case does the same job for less.

Then it's just the design, which is the good part. Start with Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro or Pixel 11 Pro XL.
